a.) Outlook can not be opened.
b.) Public ShareFolder Server shos deactivated Profiles or no profiles.
On the server is also Microsoft Exchange Server installed.
Solution 1.) : If Outlook 97 - 2003 is installed on the server:
Search the file "mapi32.dll" in this folder or subfolder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Mapi
and copy it in the Program Folder of the Server:
C:\Program Files\Public ShareFolder\Server
restart Outlook and the Public ShareFolder Server.
Solution 2.) : If Outlook 2007 is installed on the server:
The simplest solution is to uninstall the Exchange Server and to run fixmapi after that. There seems to be no solution like copying files as with the previous Outlook versions.
The procedure:
1. It is described here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/194810
In our tests not the CD-ROM 1 but the CD-ROM 2 was needed. Additionally before uninstalling there should be no Active Directory User with an Exchange Mailbox -> Right click the User in Active Directory -> Exchange Tasks -> remove Exchange Attributes.
2. After Windows restart click Start -> Run and enter following:
fixmapi
and start with OK. If there is no feedback, the command was executed.
3. (Re)start the PSF-Server. If needed unlock the locked folders (yellow lock icon) and click save below.
