After switching the Public ShareFolder Server to run as Windows Service the Public ShareFolder Server does not work correctly.

If the server is installed on one of these operating systems:

Windows 7
Windows Server 2008 R2
Windows Server 2008
Windows Vista
(or a newer one)

please keep in mind, that only one can access the same PST file directly at the same time:

either Outlook or the Public ShareFolder Service.

Using these operating systems a Windows service is started in an isolated Windows Station. For the Outlook interface it is the same as accessing the same PST file from different computers. The first will get access, the second will be blocked.

Windows versions older than the above mentioned are not affected.

In detail you find explanations on this Microsoft Website: Impact of Session 0 Isolation on Services and Drivers in Windows
